The big farewell party weekend

Lunch outside with a friend on Alice's first day of school.
Toby was kinda tired after his first day.
But he loved it!
Mom and Dad got here in time for dinner on Thursday.
Visiting.
Then Eliza and Heather came that evening.

More visiting!
On Friday, Grace and Eliza went shoe shopping. Grace is supposed to wear athletic walking shoes most days. Thanks for the cute shoes, Aunt Heather!
Tuckered out cousins.
It poured rain that evening, so we all played in it!

Mom and Dad came back from a day out visiting, and Mom wanted to put her feet up.
Then Sarah and Norah came!

On Saturday morning, we did temple baptisms. Our family got there first.

7 cousins from 4 families. Whitney's family had arrived late the night before.

Pretty great to have so many of us there!
Whitney graciously offered to host breakfast at their Airbnb. It was perfect.

Justin arrived mid morning.

We shopped for a bunch of party supplies, and finally found tongs at the fifth store!
Lunch at The Fort for Indian food.
Photo poster of Grace growing up with the Book of Mormon and a missionary name tag.
Lots of fun cousin time this weekend. Board games.
Walk down Main Street and dirty sodas with Grace's friend, Liam.
Basketball with our neighbor.
Reading books. Dillon and his kids came over for dinner and the evening.

The timeline.
Setting up for the party.
More games.

Norah made the flower arrangements, and of course Sarah designed all the table decorations and buffet dishes.
Sunday was the main event!

I don't know who sent me this picture, but there we are doing our musical number after Grace's great talk!
Sarah and Audrey got the buffet all ready.
We ended up with about 65 people at our house.
The Flake and Gabe sides got along great!

Grace had a lot of friends come.
Alice's friend came and helped with the buffet.
Our Santiago Chile South girls!
We had a good representation from the ward show up.

So many people from both sides of the family came to support!

Grace opening her mission advice book from the Flake side (compiled by Sarah).
Each person read an excerpt from their page.

We really tested the limits of our living room!
Of course Paul and I got emotional.

More board games.
And visiting.
Joel came!

Grace, Lyla, and Dillon fell asleep.
Card games. (Lyla still asleep.)

Goodbye, friends! Thanks for coming!
Whitney made this cool wooden Chile sign.
Joel took us out for a BBQ lunch for our very last hurrah before they flew back home.
Grace just wanted the leftovers;)
More rain last night!
What an awesome, awesome weekend!
