Father's Day, Girls Camp, and Burrs/Dillons!

Father's Day was all about the food! Charlie made apple fritters for breakfast.
Toby microwaved some tootsie rolls after church:/
Grace and Danny made blueberry crumble pie for lunch.
Alice and I made Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and rolls for dinner. Alice even made strawberry freezer jam!
We sure love this guy!
Lego party in the evening.
Grace worked on her entry for the Utah Natural History Museum's lego bug contest.

Asleep in bed, still in his suit.
Charlie plays a lot of instruments!
I found a robin egg in the garden.
Toby rolling down the hill at West Bountiful Park.
Brothers on the swings.

It was hot!
Charlie made pumpkin waffles and buttermilk syrup for dinner.
Toby's version of 5 Crowns. It's just adding up cards, not actually playing.
Chutes and Ladders.
Cute Grace.
Danny sewed up the hole in his sock all by himself after I told him they were too worn out for me to sew them and we should just throw them away.
Toby had 3 cooking classes this week, with the theme Restaurant Remakes.
Danny got into needlepoint this week. Don't be like Saul.
Alice and the YW went to the temple the day before Girls Camp.
Toby liked playing school this week and being the teacher. He was a tyrant at recess, forcing them to play soccer in the heat.

Dahlia from the garden.
Off to Girls Camp!
Blondies for the Burrs - such a sense of accomplishment when they actually turn out.
Paul is on this billboard all over Salt Lake County for the next 2 weeks.

The Burrs came!

Nicholls Park with the Burrs.
Hiking trail.

So much fun exploring along the way!

That afternoon, I got out sewing stuff and painting stuff for the girls.
Poker for some boys.
Tongue twisters for the others.
Everyone enjoyed Uncle Paul's rock collection.
Kiddie pool time!

I made dinner for the kids.
Then the adults went on a date. First, DI for Trek clothes.
The kids watched a movie at home.
Then the adults went to Kneaders.

Prepping for the beach that night.
Ticket to Ride after. Charlie was the only kid who didn't go to bed early.
Ready for the beach!
American Fork Beach on Utah Lake. We were the only ones there for hours.

Dillon's family met us there:)

Charlie and Marty.

Danny and Greg played football.
Lunch.

More people wanted in on the football fun.

Everyone came back to our house afterwards. Dillon brought his cool guitar and let people try it.

The little kids played hard the rest of the day in the 100-degree heat.
They did take some breaks inside.

The adults mostly stayed in the air conditioning.

Grace found a cool spider.

Alice got home from Girls Camp and we all gathered around to hear her stories!
She got pretty burnt.
The kids were all excited for dinner.

Dillon's family left around 7:30, then we all shoved onto the sectional for Come Follow Me.
Alice had a wonderful time at Girls Camp at Blackfoot Reservoir. The leaders sent some pictures.

We loved having the Burrs here! They left in the evening to drive through the night.

Getting things back to normal today.
