Looking like fall, Toby's broken arm, and decorating for Halloween

Backyard time.

Air guitar solo while listening to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Heronry pond walk.

Charlie was so good to carry Toby when he wouldn't walk anymore.
All of those black dots are ducks, and that goes on forever. This is why we have duck hunting season.
We also saw lots of pelicans, but they are protected and can't be hunted anywhere in the country.
The boys love their new beds from Grandma/pa Gabe's storage! Plus new paint, new curtains, no more bunk bed, and no more Toby (which takes away a bed, a dresser, and some stuff in the closet).
Grace bought some Halloween decorations for her apartment.
Alice saw a heart-shaped cloud.
Playing legos.
Grace admitted she didn't actually have all the ingredients, but made cookies anyway.

Potato soup and pepperoni rolls, from our Fall Bucket List.
Hiking date behind Nicholls Park.

Grace and friends at a bonfire.

Alice wanted to do my hair for church.
She also asked if she could paint her outlet cover:)
Painting.
Toby loves this giant bear Grace left behind.
Farmington Bay.
Great blue heron.
Danny's makeshift sling after a hard hit at flag football.
Paul's office moved to a brand new building.
They have treadmill desks in the breakroom.
Alice sent this pic of Charlie at lunch. All the boys just sit around playing computer games after they eat.
Intense rainstorm!
I sat out on the patio and watched the rain as I ate my hot chicken stew.

Our mountains are starting to get some color.

Reading Charlotte's Web.
Cute Alice.
Paul set up our canopy with a mosquito net!
At Danny's flag football game.
Meanwhile, I was playing "Facey Talk" with Toby through the window.

Charlie likes to keep his new bed nice.
Toby made this cute pumpkin at school.
Alice made cute fall art too!

Toby wanted to make more art for his date with Paul.

Alice wanted to show me that she was eating lunch with her girlfriends instead of with Clinton. Good girl.
The very last of our peaches.
More Charlotte.
Charlie made chocolate chip pumpkin bread.
Toby likes looking at Danny's sports logo posters.
Paul and I took Toby to urgent care on Friday morning. He hurt his wrist running into the couch the night before and it was still hurting.

Broken radius:(
Splint.
Alice broke her radius at 7.
Happy meal for the poor guy.
Alice's broken elbow at 4.
Danny's broken elbow at 5. We've had lots of casts in this family.
Paul took Toby to the ER at Primary Children's, because the urgent care doctor told us to go there for a real cast. They said they would call ahead so they knew we were coming.
They were there all afternoon, with x-rays not being sent, and the doctor finally making the decision to put Toby to sleep so they could reset the bad brake. Toby watched a lot of TV, and kept begging to come home.

I was so thankful Paul was there with him, but kind of traumatized that I wasn't there. We hadn't expected it to take so long or turn into such a big ordeal. I had to get the other three kids home from school at three different times, and drive the jr high carpool.
And then we had a flu shot appointment. Paul and Toby missed theirs.

Then I rushed down to Salt Lake and got there just as the doctor came out to say they'd finished and we could go back into his room. I was pretty weepy seeing Toby like that.

Charlie and Danny sent us a picture of the M&M blondies Charlie made using almost an entire party size bag of M&M's...
Toby woke up pretty weepy, and really just wanted to go home. After 6 hours there, he finally got to.

We watched cartoons with him until bed.
Grace and her roommate went to an event at the Museum of Art that night.

She met her other friend there too.

Danny drew Toby Perry the Platypus with a cast on!
Scarecrow walk this morning.

Grace went on a hike in Rock Canyon with her roommate, Shelby, this afternoon.

With Shelby's cousin (he's taken).

We got out all the Halloween books and put up the decorations!

Hanging out in the mosquito-free zone.

Looking at rocks.
