Some people in our family have felt a little sad and somewhat sentimental as we passed our piano of 13 years on to a friend in the ward. I wanted to post a few memories about that old piano.
We got it the day after Thanksgiving, 2010, just after Alice was born. It was while Paul's family was visiting for the holiday. I wrote:
"We all went to the freezing cold outdoor flea market, where we found a piano in great condition for $140. Paul bought it for me! It is very out of tune and has some stuck keys, but is otherwise in good condition. The guy even delivered it, and since we wouldn't be home, our neighbor let him in and helped him move it in for us! It's so, so awesome!"
Nov 2010. The rest of the pictures are in no particular order, just a snapshot of what our piano has meant to us over the past 13 years, as we moved it with us from house to house to house, taught our kids to play on it, and filled our home with music.
And I'm happy to report, it isn't without memories for our family. This is from Christmas 2015 at Dayna's house.
Thank you for the piano, Dayna! And thank you, Dad Gabe, for arranging to have it moved here. We love it so much, and will make more memories!
