P&B's trip to Portland

On Tuesday, we headed off to Portland!

We ate Filipino food for our first meal in Oregon.

Wednesday morning activity: birding on Sauvie Island.

We didn't go down to the nude beach, but there was one.

Next we toured Pittock Mansion, built in the 1910's.

Then into Forest Park.

Anniversary dinner at a cool Thai place.

Then we drove the scenic highway up the Columbia River, stopping at waterfalls and forest hikes.

Bonneville Dam was along the way, so we stopped to see the fish ladder.

There was also a fish hatchery there. And Sasquatch.

Sunday: off on our tour of old churches. I think we hit 8 or 9.

Ending our tour at the Portland temple.

We saw a lot of elk in Cannon Beach.

And the famous Haystack Rock.

Monday morning, we were off to the forest.

Then to the candy shop.

These were all over the beach. It is called a salp.

Drive back to the airport. So much fun in Portland and Cannon Beach!
