Alice's Big Birthday Week

We put up the Halloween decorations and got out the ever popular lightning ball!
Halloween tree at the zoo with my boys. 40 degrees + sprinkling = nearly deserted!
More cool decorations at the zoo.
 Lions gnawing on bones.

But the coolest thing was the new polar bear Nora swimming around on her first day out of quarantine!
 The boys LOVED her!

Charlie was especially interested in her.
 Bat lights over the bridge.
The Amur leopard came right up to the window.
The tiger was regal, then he sneezed;)
The other tiger paced back and forth over our heads, ready to pounce at any moment.
Happy boy at Red Robin for lunch.
Tired boy at Red Robin for lunch.
Hungry boy at Red Robin for lunch.
Cool hike Paul found near our house.

 Reading Halloween books, as always.
 Halloween tableau.
Alice's 1st grade class takes birthdays seriously!
Olaf Charlie. I told him to get some clothes on.
 He put PAUL'S clothes on...
Does he look like Miles to anyone else?
Painting at home while his siblings are at a painting class.
 Harry Potter cooking class!
Alice loved having Paul at her school all day Friday. (Excuse the blue teeth. Ring pop.)
Making caramel apples after the priesthood session.
 Yum!
A big branch from our neighbors' tree fell on our fence/gate.
 Red Robin clucks and fries.
Little Caesars pizza before our hike.

Hanging out in a "nest" watching Alice play soccer.
 Lowe's Halloween display.
 Cute little Paul.
Charlie got the bars off his bed!

 Just messing around.
 Helping out at Alice's school.
Alice won a lunch with the principal next week!
 Recess with Daddy.

Paul, Alice, and Grace got school lunch on Friday. Consensus: gross.
 Our little date hike.

 Alice's birthday breakfast: Frankenberry cereal.
 And fruit smoothies.
 Make-up!
 And a photo shoot.

 Lightning ball time.
 Sweet'n'sour chicken for dinner.
Apple crisp and homemade ice cream for dessert.
 Unicorn Grace.
 A locket!
 Angel from Grandma Lu.
And clothes! (Grandma Lu wasn't able to come.)
 The grand finale: a ukelele!
Farmer Gabe brought us the smallest pumpkin from his garden:)
