Visitors and Alice's 3rd Birthday

These pictures aren't really in order, but here they are anyway. These first ones are from my phone. Cute Alice reading on the couch.
Charlie's BYU outfit from Grandma Lu. I think she gave it to us when he was born and now he fits it!
 Baby's first lightning ball.
Can you tell we got the Halloween stuff out?
 Cute outfit from Mom Flake.
These pics are from Dad Gabe's camera. He came to visit on Thursday night, then Mom Gabe came Friday night, then Lynne/Kit came Saturday morning, and they all left Sunday afternoon. Cute picture of Charlie.
Alice and I took Dad Gabe on a hike around Greenbelt Lake on Friday morning while Paul was working.
The trees on the other side have pretty colors.
Alice wanted to stop and play at a playground.
She also wanted to dance during our tour of the community center.
She loves when Grandpa Gabe reads to her. We had plenty of new library books to get through.
Charlie got some quality time with Grandpa too.
Then he got Grace from the bus stop.
Grace, Brianne, and Alice walking home from the bus.
 Family reading party.
Inspired by the book "Piggy Meditation".
 What a doll!
The birthday girl in her new shirt from Mom/Dad Gabe.
 Grace reading as usual.
Alice opened gifts throughout the morning to stave off boredom.
The playdoh mustache goes great with her cowboy costume.
She's gonna look great for Halloween! Mom/Dad Gabe got her 16 new playdoh colors, which we all played with throughout the weekend. Alice is obsessed with playdoh, and carries it around with her constantly.
 Look at that face!
 General Conference set-up.
BYU baby with his new BYU pillowcase from his BYU professor grandma.
 Grandma/Grace.
Alice was so excited for her birthday!
I made her favorite food: chicken and rice, corn, rolls, and jello (in Happy Birthday and Phineas/Ferb molds). It was a hit all around.
 Then came the cake.
It was a surprise that it was colorful inside! Alice gobbled it up.
Grace and Uncle Kit in red.
 In good standing.
Our camera now, going back in time: The cake I made for Justin's visit. He came on Sunday night to attend a conference in DC.
He took us out to breakfast at IHOP on Tuesday morning. Charlie was excited!
Alice finally warmed up to him.
But she wouldn't even consider standing next to this creepy beaver at the community center.
All 3 kids slept in the same room for a few nights while we had guests here. They finally got used to it. Kind of.
Happy girl with her new clothes.
The boys going on a donut run in their pajamas.
 The world runs on Dunkin.
 Artistic sisters.
 New panties from Grandma Flake!
 Super shy with Uncle Kit.
Alice got plenty of playdoh/tools for her birthday.
Mom Gabe brought a glitter soap kit for her and Grace to do.
Actions for General Conference congregational hymns. Sunshine in my Soul Today maybe?
The cake.
Alice had 3 potty successes in one day - and she does it in style!
 Shoveling it in.
 Fall!!!
Preschool today. The lightening ball gets kids to clean the living room up.
Our letter of the day was T, so of course we had a tea party!

  1. I totally remember Green Belt Lake...Chris and I would fish there. That's a fun area. Looks like you all are enjoying the area...so much to do! I miss that place!
