Oh, Danny Boy!

Pictures are out of order since they came from many different phones and cameras, but at least there are plenty of them!
 Danny.
Back when Charlie was still our baby boy.

At Grace's awards ceremony the night before Danny's birth.
With her awards and the librarian who helps her do the morning announcements.
 Typical Alice.
Charlie never wants to be left out.
Headed to the hospital!
A few minutes after he was born.

 Wrinkly old man.
 I love him!!!

Pretty flowers from Joel and Melanie.
Bundled up at home in blankets made by my Aunt Dana.
Last Sunday, still full of baby.
This is our life right now with a 2-yr-old. Paul wasn't smiling a minute ago, but the rest of us couldn't stop laughing at the ridiculousness of it all!

Alice and Grandma Terisa LOVE reading together.

 Pre-bath with matted hair.

Uh oh, I hope Charlie doesn't get jealous!

Paul has worn this shirt for 3 of our 4 baby births. It's from a Hebrew movie where the guy buys an expensive lemon as an offering to God in hopes that his wife will get pregnant.

 My 3 boys!!!
 Farmer Brown in Daddy's shoes.

Daddy teaching Charlie how to treat a woman.
And how to play the piano.
Alice with the fancy eye patch she and Grandma picked out together.
Family fun time while Grandma went to pick up Grandpa at the airport - our first time as just our little family of six.
Grace is constantly asking to hold him...for a few minutes.
Alice was in a bit of a bad mood last night.
Reading poetry with Grandpa before church.
 2nd grandson, 5th grandkid.
4 beautiful siblings all dolled up for Sunday.

Cold!

Bundled up for the bus stop.
In his new church clothes we got him for his birthday. Sorry little boys so often have foreheads full of bruises!
 What a little man!
 Dressed warm!
Love that toothless smile!
To flesh out the blog, here are some videos from last month. Alice "reading" our favorite Halloween book. It's actually half reading and half memorizing.
Charlie's imitation of Alice reading our favorite Halloween book.
Charlie helping me read The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Hopefully, next week's blog will be pictures of baby Danny!

Charlie's 2nd Birthday!

Charlie with buddy Max in the leaves at the park on his birthday.
Thister Thuzie thittin' on a thithle...
 Shocked by his own cuteness.
Those monster slippers are so versatile!
 PBJ face.
Goodbye, old lemon. Best of luck at the car auction.
 Gory sight on the deck.
Charlie loves Frozen as much as any girl. He can't believe Grandma Terisa got him an "Oolah" shirt!
Paul spent the morning at Arlington National Cemetery yesterday.
He and the scouts got to place flags at the Coast Guard graves, and got to talk to the commandant of the entire USCG!
Happy Veteran's Day from the Dale City Ward Boy Scouts!
Meanwhile, the womenfolk stayed home and baked wheat bread.
Pretty good for a first attempt!
The new minivan has so much cargo space, and the back seats can fold down into the car rather than having to remove them altogether. We love it!
 Great find, Paul!
 Thanksgiving decorations on the mantle.
 And on the piano.
After a 5-day weekend, Grace had to catch up on her reading for school. She was out on the deck for an hour and a half, reading 10 pages of the Book of Mormon, and a bunch more in her chapter book. It was her favorite thing ever!
 Attempting to blow up balloons.
Birthday hats bring out the silliness in Grace.
 And Alice.
 Sad little birthday boy.
 Over it!
 Happy birthday breakfast!
Birthday playdate at Cloverdale Park. Thanks for the new car, Max!
 Captain Alice.
 Swingin'.
 New football!
We had to play right away before it got too dark. Hut, hut, hike!
 Birthday boy!
 Fun fall leaves!
Um, I think my baby needs to hurry and get out of me before I bust out of that sweatshirt!
 Fall friends!
Everyone loves homemade noodles for dinner!
 Totally two.
Very hungry caterpillar cupcakes! Looks more like a worm...
Blew them out on the second try.
Gift opening. The gears set from the Gabes has been very popular this week.
I got him this cute pants/shirt for a total of $5!
 Grrrrr!
Playing with the tool set we got him. Yes, the monster slippers go with that outfit too!
Watching Phineas and Ferb before bed.
 Cutie Alice.
Adorable outfit Mom sent me for the baby! Thanks a lot!
