Alice's first week of homeschool preschool

Day 3 of preschool: C is for cut. Alice cut out the shapes. I did the Charlie cut-out:)
 She loves homeschool! Tracing letters.
D is for dance party - Just Dance.
Grace is a surly pirate at Charlie's friend's birthday party.
Grace reading the Friend magazine to Alice last Sunday.
 First day of homeschool preschool!
Her eyes have been slightly crossed for 2 or 3 weeks. We'll get her checked out tomorrow.
A is for apple, so we did an art project with apple stamps!
 Paul grilled delicious chicken legs.
 Cuties on the deck.
Prize from a perfect dentist visit.
Dance party with Daddy. The kids enjoyed the punk rock music:)
 Very fancy kitchen helpers.
Grace reading her scriptures before school.
 Forming ground beef kabobs.
Always reading. Notice the bookmark Alice made her in preschool.
 Princess, as always.
 Hey, handsome boy!

 With my dancing Charlie cut-out.
Nice weather for a jacket. And check out his new shoes that he LOVES!
 We love cool weather!
 Playing in the dirt.
The apple pie Paul and I made with the kids.
Check out that lattice work - and so delicious!
Making sugar cookies on a rainy Saturday. Thanks for the mix, Whitney!
Charlie ate a lot of dough and flour.
Fun fall shapes, plus some lips and dinosaurs!
Sunday morning sisters.
Family dance party in slow motion.

School starts!

All ready for the first day of second grade in her new clothes!

Charlie wasn't happy to see her go. None of us were, really.
But at least Daddy worked from home that day!

Paul distracts Charlie with a book so...
Grace can practice her piano before school.
Alice woke up just in time to say goodbye:)
I took Grace to school for her first day. New desk and school supplies.
The classroom. Less than 20 students!
Charlie got used to Grace being gone all day, and did his own thing a lot.
 Princess Alice ruled the roost.

Alice helped me make mint brownies to celebrate Grace's first day.
 Charlie wasn't complaining!
The sisters reunite after 8 hours apart!

Family party peeling apples for applesauce.

Um, yeah. He didn't help much with the actual peeling.

The next day, we had delicious homemade applesauce with our fried chicken dinner. We really liked the applesauce, but $3.50 worth of apples only made enough for one meal!
Whitney, et al came for the temple yesterday. Our kids LOVE Darius.
King Darius is not used to having sisters.
Charlie looks huge next to him!

About a month before Alice turns 4, we decided to finally take the crib bars off her bed. We only did it because I'm too pregnant to have to lift her in and out of bed. She did great last night!
 Charlie moved right in.

Grace wanted a picture with her magformers creation before Charlie destroyed it.
Is this the face of a kid who destroys his sisters' creations?

Charlie being Charlie. "What the heck?"
