Danny's 8th birthday and an award for Paul

Family pics from a month or so ago. The Paul Gabrielsens.
Grandparents and grandkids.
The LuAnn Poulsens.
Silly version.
The Evan Gabrielsens.
Charlie's activity days activity was cleaning under the church stage.
Danny lost a tooth.
Toby all bundled up to go play in the leaves.

Leaf pile at the home of the older lady we raked for.
Homemade chicken and wild rice soup.
Cozy new footy pajamas at breakfast time.
I volunteered at Alice's Fun Friday.
Grace signed up for a big Christmas service project through her high school. She will have multiple events throughout December to get donations and help kids not being raised by their parents.
Ready for our date to celebrate Paul's writing award.

We ordered more than usual to make it extra special and fun! We planned ahead of time that we'd take a bunch home.
The awardee. He's all mine!
Alice's YW leader brought her a Crumbl cookie for doing so well teaching YW last week.
Grace earned a Twix for learning her piano flashcards.
Toby knows how to draw a heart - he drew one for Danny for his birthday:)
Birthday breakfast: French toast.
Hanging Christmas lights.
Cozy on the couch.
New lego set with his birthday money.

Paul bought me roses!
Typical Saturday morning.
Karate graduation.
His goal is to weigh 60 pounds!
He was shocked that he was actually able to break the board!
He earned his white belt. Is that a thing?
Legit.
Charlie made a cute powerpoint of an acrostic poem for Danny!
Birthday card from the Flake grandparents.
New scriptures with his name on them!
This kid sure loves tortoises!
Grandma Terisa gave Danny a funny game of different awkward hugs - he and Charlie tried each card and we laughed and laughed!
Lemon bars for his birthday cake. We decided to have him blow out the candle just over his own plate, rather than spreading so many germs.

These guys.
Paul held the board for Danny to break. I had my part where I got to try to punch or slap him so he could practice blocking me!
I was cracking Toby up at lunch one day.

Ice in the top of the step ladder.
Danny on the roof to hang Christmas lights with Paul.
Doing a puzzle during the football game.
Watching the game.

Paul's award.
I love this guy!
