Back to the grindstone, and Toby's great progress

Mother-daughter hug with Grace.
They helped Paul build his dollar-store flamingo Grace got him for Christmas. He ended up painting it with the watercolor pens I got him, and it looks really good!
This is what my mornings usually look like, in the basement with Charlie doing school.
Fancy mirror at the Grand America hotel. Paul and I walked around it for our date.
Charlie pushing his brothers on swings at Mills Park today.
Paul teaching Danny to grate cheese while Alice teaches Charlie to make jello.
We've been reading Pres. Nelson's biography every day this week.
Toby eating.
Toby's new favorite library book: Teeth are not for Biting. We may have gotten it after a couple of incidents...
One night, Paul got out his guitar, Alice was on her ukulele, and Grace was on the piano. So Charlie made instruments out of magformers. Trumpet.
Piano.
Tambourine.
Toby likes magformers too.
He's really gotten into scribbling this week.

He's also learned how to feed himself with a spoon this week... kind of;)

Charlie at school.
Grace wrote her name in the sand volleyball court at the park.
This is what I see across from me before we get the kids up in the morning. Not a bad way to start the day:)
Cute Grace with an almond in her pear?
We found this fancy little area off at the end of a hallway at the Grand America hotel.
Making muffins first thing in the morning.

Paul was having fun with this kid while we baked:)
Teeth are Not for Biting. His other favorite this week is a pop-up book about robots, which he calls "reebots" - so cute!
Half of us baked cupcakes while the other half dug a mineral out of a kit and looked at it through the microscope.
Superman brothers swinging at Mills Park.

Cupcake decorating.
Outdoor dinner tonight. It was 34 degrees.
Magformers guitar.
Lanky Danny in a baby swing!
I love bare tree branches against a blue sky.

Toby is more and more getting to be one of the boys. He loves to play with his brothers.
So happy to have this guy as my very own!
We caved and set the tramp back up because it keeps not snowing. The kids have loved it!
Cupcake decorating party.

The middle frosting on the layer cake. This is all the leftovers from the piping bags, blended into a sunset. If we'd known it was going to turn out so pretty, we would've made it the top.
Toby got his fill of tastings!
We tried to make a drip cake with the white chocolate, but it didn't turn out great. It looks so easy on youtube!
Cupcakes.

Outdoor dinner in the freezing cold.

  1. Toby is smiling in these pictures -- compare to the family photo at the top.
