Dr. Malone to the Rescue, and Charlie's NOT a Happy Camper

Charlie doesn't sleep as much as we'd like, so then when I take him to the playground, he wears out quickly and needs a nap on the bench!
New aviator sunglasses. I think this is the only time we've been able to get him to wear them. We got them for him at Easter.
All excited for his first camping trip!
All excited for my first root canal!
Paul and his old NM Tech grad school buddy, Chucho, at USGS.
 Breakfast time is silly time.
Wormageddon!!! Invasion of the silk tent caterpillars! These are all dead around the a/c unit - Paul sprayed them aggressively.
He got all these before they were able to climb up our tree and build their nests of doom!
 Eye patch time!
Hot dogs: camping food of champions. These kids can really pack 'em away!
Happy camper on his camping blanket.
Are you looking at me? I love attention!
 He is so adorable!
How can I not kiss his soft little cheeks off?
We all love the part where we pick a campsite, get out of the car, explore around, and the excitement begins!
 Beautiful surroundings.
 Setting up the tent.
The kids always want to get in right away.
 Paul in nature.
 Around the campfire.
 Blowing with the bellows.
Eating an entire bag of chips - our food rules are somewhat relaxed on vacation...
 We love the great outdoors!
Charlie alone in the tent. We all needed some time away from him.
We love how much room there is in our tent!
 Our kids like raw smores.
After a short night, the girls are ready for a cold morning.
 Staying warm in his carseat.
Grouchy Charlie not interested in being photographed.
Eggs for breakfast replaced our usual donuts or poptarts. Trying to be healthier.
No complaints from the peanut gallery.
After MUCH trouble from Charlie all morning, we decided playing in the ashes was fine because it kept him occupied in one place for a long period of time.
 Messy.
 But happy.
Shouldn't there be a Mormonad for this picture? No man can serve two masters maybe?
Ready for our hike. I think this was only Danny's second time in the Moby.
This kid is way too big for that backpack, and Paul was struggling with the weight, but so worth it to have him contained.
 Quantico Creek geology trail.
 Little waterfalls.
 Getting sleepy...
 Very sleepy.
 Baby's first rice cereal!
He was unimpressed. Neither happy nor upset about it. He's a pretty chill kid.
The first solid feeding is always a family affair.
 The storage room before picture.
After.
