Alice's 4th birthday, Zoo Day, and Chocolate Tour!

Sorry these pics are in random order, depending on which camera they were taken on...
Paul did the kids' hairstyles for General Conference last Sunday:)
Our front yard at the end of day 1 of the pipe replacement.
Can you believe that beautiful trench they dug by hand?
Alice turned 4 on Wednesday. We woke her up out of a dead sleep so we could do a few things with her before Grace went to school.
Grace did her homework while Daddy made breakfast.
 Chocolate chip pancakes and peaches.
Princess for the day, complete with her very first clip-on earrings!
Full-on princess photo shoot after her makeover.

Painting her fingernails and toenails completed the look.
This boy was obsessed with watching the plumbers any chance he got.
Good thing the Dollar Store refreshed their helium supply this week!
We made Alice's name from her new ABC jello molds!
Blowing out the candles on the cookie cake.
 Easily pleased.
These dollar store witch fingers were a hit!
That missing tooth sure makes for a scary witch!
Beautiful new raincoat from Grandma Lu.
Charlie loved the foam pattern shapes Alice got from Grandpa Gabe.
 Alice loves them too!
We got her a big, fat kindergarten workbook. Such a scholar!
The grand prize favorite gift award goes to this awesome Frozen costume/tiara from Mom Gabe.
Rar! Charlie was genuinely scared of these fingers for the first day and wouldn't go near them. By the second day, he would bring them to me to scare him, but then run far enough away to not get touched by them. By day 3, he was wearing them himself!
All dressed in pink for breast cancer awareness day at Grace's school.
Anna (from Frozen) working hard at her studies.
All ready for a cool fall day in DC on Saturday.
 Can't get enough of him.
 I'm not kidding.
Grace trying on a bonnet at the Old Stone House in Georgetown.
Dark chocolate cupcake at Sprinkles on our chocolate tour.
So many chocolates at Thomas Sweet. Grace and I agreed that our favorite treat from the whole tour was the fudge there.
Smores pie tart at Pie Sisters. More than Grace could eat.
Back together again at the zoo.
Cute sisters in the monkey house.
Their brother is pretty cute too.
But I like this guy the best!
 Fun flamingos.
 Great time at the zoo!
All worn out after a day in the big city.
Grace was worn out too, but never too tired to read.
 Bedtime story.
Cute new sweater from Grandma Terisa.
 Giraffe boy.
 Soap bubbles on a leaf/
All done with the front yard work. Looks like a gravesite.
She loves that her new jacket has thumb holes!
Charlie likes Alice's new doctor set.
 Um...Grace?
 The before picture.
 Taking over for Daddy
 Lunch at the zoo.
 With the gorilla.
 Staring the gorilla down.
 Triceratops.
Pizza playground at the zoo.
Practicing for the primary program.
Can't resist those puddles!
I taught Alice 5 Little Pumpkins.
